The Montgomery County man who officials said crashed a wedding reception and made off with up to $5,000 in gifts has turned himself in to police.

Joseph Patrick Franzone Jr., 35, of Bridgeport, is charged with theft, receiving stolen property, and related crimes. He turned himself in at a district court with his attorney at 11:30 a.m., said Lt. Bruce Hames of the Lower Gwynedd Police Department.

Franzone was arraigned before Judge Robert Sobeck and remanded to the Montgomery County prison on $150,000 bail, Hames said.

On Sunday, Franzone was captured on video allegedly casing the reception and the parking lot at the William Penn Inn.

A family member of the unidentified bride and groom was also seen on video transferring gifts from inside the reception to a car. The gifts were later missing. The value of the stolen items was $3,000 to $5,000, according to police.

Police say Franzone borrowed his girlfriend's car that day. A search of the car turned up envelopes from two wedding guests.
