Temple will open its 2014 football schedule one week later than expected, beginning the season on Sept. 6 against Navy at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Owls had been scheduled to begin the 2014 season at Penn State on Aug. 30. However, on Sunday Penn State announced that it would begin the 2014 season in Dublin, Ireland, against Central Florida.

To accommodate the change, the Penn State-Temple game was pushed back to Nov. 15. Both Temple and Penn State had open dates on that weekend.
