7 slain in Philly Saturday through early Monday

Gun violence from Saturday into early Monday left six men and a teenager dead in Philadelphia, police said. No arrests have been reported.

The latest killing occurred about 2:30 a.m. Monday when a 35-year-old man was shot in the back on the 700 block of West Luzerne Street in Hunting Park. He was pronounced dead an hour later at Temple University Hospital, police said. Investigators have not reported a possible motive.

At 10 p.m. Sunday, Craig Jackson, 21, of Crescentville, was shot once in the chest on the 5600 block of B Street in North Philadelphia, police said. He was pronounced dead at 11:21. Police said the shooting was sparked by an argument.

A 32-year-old man was shot multiple times Sunday night near 27th and Reed Streets in the King Village section of South Philadelphia, police said. The victim was pronounced dead at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania at 9:20 p.m., minutes after the shooting. The motive was unknown, police said.

Alfred McCrory, 21, was shot in the head and back on the 2000 block of Bellmore Street in Kensington about 11:20 a.m., according to police. He was pronounced dead at 11:55 a.m. at Temple hospital. Again, police reported no motive.

A gunshot to the head killed William Kenneth Wise, 43, of North Philadelphia, just before 1 a.m. on the 2700 block of North 27th Street. Police reported no motive.

Police also identified two men shot dead Saturday.

Joseph Wisman, 45, was shot and killed during an apparent robbery about 7:15 a.m. on the 2000 block of South Simpson Street in Southwest Philadelphia.

Tremaine Rogers, 17, was shot and fatally wounded about 4 p.m. during an argument in his Overbrook neighborhood on the 900 block of North 64th Street.
