Coatesville police are searching for a teenager who they say shot and wounded a man early Tuesday.

Daquan Gray, 17, who police said is to be charged as an adult, is being sought on attempted-murder and related charges.

On Tuesday, police said, officers responded to a report of shots fired on the 100 block of Strode Avenue in Coatesville. A 21-year-old had been shot in the leg, police said, and was taken to Brandywine Hospital.

Police later identified the alleged shooter as Gray. He fled the scene of the shooting in a white Mercury sedan, police said.

Gray, of the 300 block of Valley Road in Coatesville, is considered armed and dangerous, police said. He was described as a black male with black hair, brown eyes, and a thin build, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds.
