Second man charged in Glou. Twp. slaying

A 20-year-old man has been charged with felony murder and robbery - the second man arrested in a homicide Monday that Gloucester Township police said began as an attempted robbery.

Joshua Texidor of Westampton Township was arrested Wednesday night, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said. A Superior Court judge Thursday ordered him held on $1 million bail. A 16-year-old from Edgewater Park was arrested Tuesday and charged in the shooting death of 20-year-old Lamar Ortiz.

Texidor and the 16-year-old drove to Ortiz's home in the Autumn Ridge Apartments on the 1500 block of Little Gloucester Road, police said, for an arranged drug deal that they intended to turn into an armed robbery.

The 16-year-old is accused of shooting Ortiz and, in a subsequent struggle, grazing an 18-year-old man from Marlton who was also in the car. That man is not a target of investigation, police said. - Jonathan Lai
