Eight women were seriously injured early Saturday after a car drove through a crowd in the parking lot of a nightclub in Bustleton after a brawl, Philadelphia police said.

Police arrived just before 3 a.m. at the parking lot of the Studio 98 nightclub, at 9859 Bustleton Ave., less than half a mile south of Red Lion Road.

Police said that they still were sorting out details but that, after a brawl, a group of men and women got into a silver Jeep Cherokee, then drove through the crowd, hitting several people.

Eight women were injured. Four were taken to Aria Health-Torresdale Campus, where two were listed in critical condition and two in stable. The four others were taken to Nazareth Hospital, where they were reported in stable condition.

The car was last seen driving northbound through the parking lot, onto Bustleton Avenue.

No arrests had been made, and an investigation was continuing.
