Firefighters battled a three-alarm blaze at an apartment complex Friday night in Bucks County, authorities said.

The fire broke out around 9 p.m. at the Racquet Club Apartments, at 1970 Veterans Hwy. in Levittown, authorities said.

About 11:15 p.m., Dave Schrader, spokesman for the American Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania, said 10 responders were assisting at least 30 displaced residents and were expecting more people seeking aid. The Red Paw Relief Team reported assisting a resident with a pet bird and another with a dog and a cat.

Two people were hospitalized, officials said. - Robert Moran
