Charles D. Wolfe Sr., 76, of Southampton, Burlington County, a former president and business manager of Local 94 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in Hightstown, died Monday, July 22, of cancer at Virtua Memorial in Mount Holly.

Born in Florence, Mr. Wolfe had lived in Southampton since 2000 and, before that, in Edgewater Park.

After graduating in 1955 from Florence Township High School, he was a member of the New Jersey Army National Guard and began his career with the energy supplier Public Service Electric & Gas Co., his daughter Linda Palmer said.

Mr. Wolfe worked as an IBEW union member at PSE&G for several years and served as Local 94 president full time from October 1979 to January 2000, his daughter said, reading the dates from a plaque honoring his service.

An Elk, Mason, and Moose, Mr. Wolfe was a member of the American Legion and Florence Fire Company No. 1, where he was a member of its EMS squad.

Besides his daughter Linda, Mr. Wolfe is survived by his wife of 52 years, Maria; a son, Charles D. Jr.; daughters Carla Wolfe and Lisa Kouhi; and eight grandchildren.

A visitation was set from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, July 29, at the Dennison Funeral Home, 214 W. Front St., Florence, with a firefighters' service at 7 p.m., an American Legion service at 7:30, and a Masonic service at 8.

A second visitation was set from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, at Dennison, before an 11:30 funeral service at the Medford United Methodist Church, 2 Hartford Rd., Medford, with interment in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
