Tootsie and Midnight Cowboy star Dustin Hoffman, 75, has successfully been treated for throat cancer, his rep Jodi Gottlieb tells People. "It was detected early, and he has been surgically cured," she says. "Dustin is feeling great and is in good health." She refused to elaborate. Dustin's fellow thesp Michael Douglas waged a successful battle with throat cancer in 2010.

Usher's son in hospital

Usher's son, Usher Raymond V, 5, was rushed to an Atlanta hospital Monday after nearly drowning in a pool when his arm got stuck in the drain, says TMZ. He'll be fine, docs say.

SJP loves her man

In a shocking incident that has rocked the fabric of society, Today show stalwart Al Roker, 58, overslept Tuesday and never showed up for his 6 a.m. Weather Channel show Wake Up With Al. "After 39 years, it happened," he tweeted. "I overslept and missed a show."
