12 hours of arts, entertainment, tours, food, and fireworks at Memorial Park.

Celebrate Lansdale's Founders Day on Saturday with arts, entertainment, contests, train rides, and more at Memorial Park.

The fun begins at 9 a.m. with the Lansdale Farmer's Market showcasing local produce. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be an arts and music festival, a 25-year tradition sponsored by the Borough of Lansdale Parks and Recreation Department. Highlights: food, crafts, prizes, and performances by the Walnut Street Chamber Trio and Eric Mintel Jazz Quartet.

New Hope Ivyland Railroad's train excursions to Souderton will feature historical commentary provided by a member of the Lansdale Historical Society. From 3 to 8 p.m., the Family Fun and Food Festival features the second annual coloring contest for children 2 to 9, and a dunk tank where you can dunk your favorite local celeb.

Borough swimming pools will be open free of charge. Other activities include tours of the borough fire and police headquarters. The fun concludes with a fireworks show at 9.

Play it safe, and meet Olivia

Learn about fire safety and meet a beloved character this weekend at the Please Touch Museum.

On Safety Day, Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., members of the Philadelphia Fire Department will be on hand. Kids can learn about fire prevention, try on firefighter gear, and get a close look at a fire engine and ladder truck.

On Sunday, celebrate author Ian Falconer's birthday with story time featuring stories from the Olivia the Pig series, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and again from 3 to 4. Each story time includes a meet-and-greet with Olivia the Pig herself.

Chicago magician Tevell Rose, one of the "African American Masters of Magic," performs Sunday at Grasso's Magic Theatre.

Rose, a magician for more than 20 years, has performed for McDonald's Corp., the Chicago Bulls, and many others. He'll amaze with his tricks beginning at 3 p.m.
