Bekah Stevens scored twice, and Carol Burgess made 15 stops to lead Great Valley to a 3-1 win over visiting Phoenixville. Meg Salvadore also scored. All three Patriots goals came in the second half.
Freshman Hannah Thomas scored twice in her first varsity game to propel Perkiomen Valley over host Lower Merion, 2-0. Thomas nearly scored a third goal with about two minutes to go, but her shot went just wide. Kelly O'Brien notched the shutout with five saves.
Eli Cohen scored in double overtime to send Lower Merion home happy with a 1-0 nonleague victory over West Chester East. Cohen's tally came off a head ball by Russell Peck. Will Rosenbaum stopped all five shots he faced for the Aces.
In other nonleague games:
Ryan Gleason and Evan Vare each scored twice as Central Bucks East shut down visiting East Stroudsburg North, 6-0. Vare, a sophomore, also had two assists. Five of the Patriots' six goals came in the second half.
Joe Hansen's goal late in the first half held up for host Father Judge in a 1-0 win over Pennsbury. Daniel Sulpizio had seven saves for the Crusaders, with one coming on a penalty kick with less than five minutes remaining.
Seven players had goals for Great Valley in a 9-0 home triumph over Phoenixville. Jack Halliday and Luis Benitez Palermo led the barrage with two scores apiece.
First-half goals by Dante D'Alonzo and Kyle Parkinson were the difference in Hatboro-Horsham's 2-0 win at Haverford High. Brian Ehrlich had a five-save shutout.
Senior captain Phil Kelly scored two goals, one of which put Springside Chestnut Hill ahead with less than 10 minutes to play, as the Blue Devils slid past visiting Friends' Central, 2-1. Sam McDowell held steady with eight saves for Springside Chestnut Hill.
Olivier Everts scored his second goal of the game in overtime to lift Conestoga over host West Chester East, 4-3, in a nonleague contest.
Everts was the last to get his stick on the ball in a scramble in front of the net. Chloe Johnson stopped 17 of West Chester East's 20 shots.
Also in nonleague play:
Twins Courtney and Rachel Konowal scored in Plymouth Whitemarsh's 5-2 triumph over Ridley. Courtney also tallied two assists. Aurora Mills, a sophomore, added two goals.
Olivia D'Antonio scored one goal and assisted on the only other for Avon Grove, which shut out visiting Lower Merion, 2-0. D'Antonio assisted on Paige Hammond's goal. D'Antonio's tally was assisted by Maggie Winter. Devon Scharf kept the game close with nine saves for Lower Merion.
