Nicholas J. Delancey, 83, of Delanco

Nicholas J. Delancey, 83, of Delanco, died of pneumonia Wednesday, Aug. 28, at Virtua Memorial medical center in Mount Holly.

Mr. Delancey was a maintenance man with Public Service Electric & Gas in Trenton from 1960 to 1990, his wife, Joan, said.

Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Delancey graduated from Burlington Township High School.

From 1951 to 1954, Mr. Delancey served in the Navy, for a time in combat off Korea aboard the USS Missouri.

He was a member of senior citizen organizations in Delanco and Riverside.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Nicholas and Stephen; and a granddaughter.

A life celebration was set for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, at St. Stephen's Church, 158 Warren St., Beverly, with private interment.
