Three Things to Watch

Houston rushed for 372 yards last week. But don't be fooled. The Cougars like to air it out and will test Temple's secondary, which last week allowed 355 passing yards to Notre Dame.

Look for Temple to try to get its running attack going against Houston. Rhule has emphasized a more balanced running game all week.

Keep an eye on Houston linebacker Derrick Matthews. He's a playmaker who last season racked up 126 tackles and six sacks.

Three Things You Might Not Know

Twelve Temple football players received degrees in the spring or summer of 2013 and are competing as graduate students. That ties Temple with Virginia Tech and Louisiana Tech for the most players with degrees.

Temple has played in four conferences during its 115-year football history

Since 2006, no team in college football has racked up more offensive yards than Houston, which has 48,942 yards in that time.
