On Oct. 24, Gene Shay, radio guy, folk god, gets his very own plaque on the Philly Music Walk of Fame on South Broad, with six other local music stars. Philly-born Gene, now 78, brought Bob Dylan here for his first Philly concert in 1963. He also made up the name of WXPN's show World Cafe 22 years ago. Host of The Folk Show on XPN, he's been on local radio since 1962. Hard to imagine Philly without him.

Educating on education

Keepin' it local . . . M. Night Shyamalan is about way more than the supranormal, OK? His new book is titled I Got Schooled: The Unlikely Story of How a Moonlighting Movie Maker Learned the Five Keys to Closing America's Education Gap. Tells how he scoured the land for schools that work. He's speaking Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Mask & Wig Club on Quince Street. It's invite-only. The event's sponsored by the M. Night Shyamalan Foundation: www.mnsfoundation.org.

Clint and Dina finito

Dina Eastwood, married to Clint since 1996, has filed for legal separation. Classily enough, Dina, 48, has been praising Clint, 83, as a "wonderful, good-natured, brilliant person." But in papers filed with Monterey County Superior Court, she seeks spousal support, physical custody of their daughter, Morgan, 16, and shared legal custody. Prenup? Oh, yeah.

Ariana huffing and puffing

Ariana Grande debuts grandly atop Billboard's album chart! Nielsen SoundScan says her Yours Truly sold 138,000 units. Tamar Braxton's Love and War was at No. 2, with 114K sales. Then come two Pennsy artists! Nine Inch Nails was at 3 with Hesitation Marks (107K), and John Legend at 4 with Love in the Future (68K). The rest of the Top 10: 5, Luke Bryan, Crash My Party, 68K; 6, Jaheim, Appreciation Day, 58K; 7, Robin Thicke, Blurred Lines, 57K; 8, Avenged Sevenfold, Hail to the King, 42K; 9, Justin Timberlake, The 20/20 Experience, 38K; 10, Imagine Dragons, Night Vision, 34K.

World's finest fine print

Zoe Saldana wed Marco Perego secretly in London - all the way back in June!! . . . Former Playbunny Holly Madison went to Disneyland Tuesday, waited till D-land closed, then wed Pasquale Rotella. . . . Preggers with her first small human infant: Emily Blunt, with husband John Krasinski. . . . BuzzFeed reports that IAC, owner of cash-spurting Web mag The Daily Beast, is letting big-time editor Tina Brown go. . . . On Monday, California's Gov. Jerry Brown made "swatting" (phony emergency calls to police about celeb houses) illegal. Folks like Ashton Kutcher, Tom Cruise, the Kardashians, Chris Brown, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, and Clint Eastwood have been swatted. No more of that!
