Wed. S.J. boys and girls: Mainland comes back

The Mainland girls' soccer team scored three goals in the final 15 minutes Wednesday to top Lower Cape May, 4-2, in a Cape-Atlantic League game.

The Tigers led by 2-1 before Lauren Zierius scored on a cross from Lexi Miller to tie the score with 15 minutes to go. Seven minutes later, Marge Dods scored from 20 yards to give the Mustangs a 3-2 lead.

Despina Lianidis added an insurance goal.

Nonleague. Taylor Ismail scored with 15 minutes remaining to lift Schalick over Clayton, 3-2.

Boys' Soccer

Shawnee's Sean Welch and Justin Wigley each scored and Dalton Wu stopped both shots he faced in a 2-0 nonleague win over Seneca.

Field Hockey

Melanie Mack's first-half goal was the difference in Pitman's 1-0 triumph over Pennsville in Tri-County Classic action. Annie Beato registered the shutout with five saves.
