After a safety early in the second quarter extended Triton's lead to 8-0, it appeared as if the Mustangs had total control of the game. However, with 2 minutes, 32 seconds left in the half, Baylor fumbled and Pennsauken's Kniquan Cephas scooped it up and took it 48 yards to the end zone to close the gap to 8-6.
Triton responded with a 53-yard drive that ended with Baylor's second touchdown of the day, a 19-yarder. The score was 14-6 at the break.
"I was really pleased with a lot of the things we did offensively," Goetz said. "I think Jacob McGlinchey, our quarterback today, stepped up, played well, and didn't make the mistakes that we stress about."
After a scoreless third quarter, Boyd rushed for a 10-yard TD on the first play of the final period to make it a 20-6 lead. Late in the fourth, the senior continued his success on the ground with a 65-yard run to the Indians' 5. He carried it in on the next play to seal the victory.
"It was a good team effort all around," Boyd said. "Everyone played their game, did their job, and got it done."
Pennsauken's last TD came when Tyee White threw an 88-yard pass to Deyon Edwards.
