William L. Lundgren III, 65, of Haddonfield, solicitor for both the Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Adjustment there until earlier this year, died of cancer Thursday, Sept. 12, at Lankenau Hospital.

Born in Camden, Mr. Lundgren, who was known as Pete, graduated from Haddonfield Memorial High School in 1965, earned a bachelor's degree in economics at Gettysburg College in 1968, and graduated from the Rutgers School of Law in Camden in 1973, his wife, Pauline, said.

He began his career with the Haddonfield firm of Farrell, Eynon & Munyon before cofounding in 1977 the firm of Green, Lundgren & Ryan, now in Cherry Hill.

Mr. Lundgren worked as a Haddonfield prosecutor from 1975 to 1981, his wife said.

He had served as solicitor for the Zoning Board of Adjustment since January 1978 and as solicitor for the Planning Board since August 2005, she said.

A member of the Haddonfield Civic Association, he was a member of the Haddonfield Ambulance Association and the Little Egg Harbor Yacht Club.

Besides his wife of 40 years, Mr. Lundgren is survived by his mother, Miriam; a son, Thomas; daughters Kristin Cordova, Kelly Pietrucha, and Kathryn Stewart; a sister; and four grandchildren.

A visitation was set from 8 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Haddonfield United Methodist Church, 29 Warwick Rd., before an 11 a.m. funeral service. Interment is to be private.
