Ahead of Catholic League rival St. Hubert by two goals at halftime, Archbishop Ryan girls' soccer coach Ryan Haney told his team Tuesday night how dangerous the lead really was.

If the Ragdolls allowed one goal, Haney said, the Bambies would grasp momentum. Hubert did just that, striking one minute into the half, and Haney said the visitors were "pumped up."

Ragdolls senior captain Brianna Egenlauf answered with a goal from 12 yards, however, and Ryan regained control en route to a 3-2 win.

Jazmin Gonzalez, a junior, posted the win with four saves. Emily Jeffrey had six saves for Hubert. Haney said about 500 fans turned out.

"It was a great atmosphere for the girls to play in," he said. "And obviously we are happy with the outcome."

In other Catholic League play:

Michaela Crimlish's first-half goal proved to be enough for Lansdale Catholic as the visitors blanked Cardinal O'Hara, 1-0. She scored off an assist by Grace Gaus. Alyssa Messina posted five saves for the win.

Joelle Guaglione scored twice and Payton Kanagie added a goal as Hallahan turned away visiting Bonner-Prendergast, 3-2.

Catholic Academies. Jill Hoban tied the game with five minutes left and Michelle Kinka scored the winner to lift Villa Maria over visiting Gwynedd Mercy, 5-4. Kinka, a senior striker, dribbled through a couple defenders and scored for 12 yards out.

Murphy Agnew, a freshman forward, had her first multi-goal game, as her two scores led Villa Joseph Marie past visiting Nazareth Academy, 5-0. Allie Trzaska had two assists, and Caroline Gray stopped two shots for her second shutout.

Emily Jardel scored in the 18th minute and Kerri McGinley scored in the 67th as St. Basil cruised at Mount St. Joseph, 2-0.

Nonleague. Emma Brumbaugh scored once for host Episcopal Academy and Emily Burd scored for Friends' Central as the teams played to a 1-1 tie.

Sophomore Jennifer Sheppard scored once and assisted on another goal, helping Abington Friends nip Springside Chestnut Hill, 2-1.

Field Hockey

Meredith Ross assisted on two goals and Oliver Everts scored twice to lift Conestoga over visiting Lower Merion, 4-0, in a Central League game. Nicole Bodo and Adah Lindquist added one goal each.

Also in the Central League:

Katie Keyser scored with 12:35 left in overtime, and Garnet Valley edged host Radnor, 5-4. The goal came off a tip of a Jessika Daniels shot. The Jaguars scored four times in the last 18 minutes of the first half, including two from Dana Davis. Lexi Kenneally scored twice for Radnor. Her strike with 2:30 left forced overtime.

Kristen Baschoff and Katie Sherry scored once each to lead Strath Haven past host Springfield (Delco), 2-1. Ally Scanlon, a junior, recorded 23 saves for the hosts.

Ches-Mont. Nikki Freeman collected two goals and two assists as Downingtown West eased past host Downingtown East, 4-2.
