Rutgers, Drexel seeded in NIT Tip-Off

Rutgers is seeded fourth and Drexel eighth in the 2013 NIT Season Tip-Off tournament.

Arizona, Duke, and Alabama are the top three seeds.

The 29th annual basketball tournament will include fifth-seeded Rhode Island, sixth-seeded Elon, seventh-seeded East Carolina, Canisius, Fairleigh Dickinson, Georgia State, McNeese State, Metro State, Norfolk State, UNC-Asheville, and Stillman.

The first- and second-round doubleheaders will be played Nov. 18 and 19 on the campuses of the four highest-seeded teams - Arizona, Duke, Alabama, and Rutgers. The winners of the preliminary rounds advance to the semifinals at New York's Madison Square Garden on Nov. 27. The consolation and championship games will be played Nov. 29.

The remaining teams will play third- and fourth-round doubleheaders Nov. 25 and 26 on the campuses of the three highest remaining seeds.

Drexel will open against Elon at Rutgers, and Rutgers will host Canisius.
