The theft occurred about a block from the police station. Police believe the robbers did not know the station was that close.
The carjackers were described as black, in their 20s, with heavy beards but no mustaches. One was wearing beige pants and a dark hoodie; the other was wearing a red sweatshirt. One drove away in a tan sedan, police said.
The stolen Range Rover has Pennsylvania license plate HWY048.
The theft happened a few weeks after another carjacking in the township.
On Sept. 3, a Porsche Cayenne was carjacked from a victim at the Villanova SEPTA train station. The carjacker showed no weapon, and the car was recovered in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia, Santoliquito said.
"We are not ready to say [the two incidents] are linked," Flanagan said. "The initial information is that they are not."
Police reported the carjacking to the FBI and have contacted the county's Auto Theft Task Force to review the case.
