What if you had a party and everyone came? Jimmy Iovine, record producer and former American Idol mentor, held quite a soiree at his house in L.A. on Saturday night.

Guests included Oprah Winfrey, Mick Jagger, the two-headed publicity sponge known as Kimye, Dr. Dre, Brian Grazer, and many more.

According to TMZ, R. Kelly and Diddy gave impromptu performances. The occasion reportedly was a combo of Emmy weekend and the birthday of Iovine's squeeze, Liberty Ross.

Guess our invitation was lost in the mail.

Ross, of course, is an old friend of "SideShow." The British model divorced her director husband, Rupert Sanders, after learning of his affair with Kristen Stewart.

Weekend parole for 'Prisoners'

A new release, Prisoners, an R-rated thriller starring Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal, topped the weekend box office with $21.4 million. That was a sizable edge over Insidious Chapter 2, whose $14.5 million was down 64 per cent from last weekend.

Mob-comedy The Family with Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Tommy Lee Jones pulled in $7 million for third place. But the real surprise once again was the Mexican comedy Instructions Not Included, which totaled $5.7 million, enough to make it the fifth-highest-grossing foreign-language film in history.

Andy Samberg ties the knot

Funnyman Andy Samberg wed singer-songwriter Joanna Newsome over the weekend in scenic Big Sur.

Samberg, 35, who just debuted in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine with Andre Braugher, was something of a groupie for Newsome, 31, before asking her out five years ago.
