ATLANTA - The Phillies have 10 players eligible for arbitration this winter, and decisions on whom to retain will extend weeks beyond the season.
There is no debate over Kyle Kendrick, according to Ruben Amaro Jr. The righthander will be offered a contract and steep raise.
"I don't know why people are asking about that," the general manager said. "We will [bring him back]."
Kendrick signed a two-year, $7.5 million deal before the 2012 season. He earned $4.5 million in 2013 and could make upward of $8 million in arbitration. The Phils value his durability; a minor shoulder injury that robbed him of his final three starts this season was his first medical problem.
