Joshua M. Cooper has been appointed professor of medicine at Temple University School of Medicine and director of electrophysiology at Temple University Hospital. Cooper was most recently an associate professor of medicine at Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, and an attending physician in the cardiac electrophysiology section at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

FMC Corp., Philadelphia, hired Lincoln Romero as business director for health and nutrition for Latin America. He had been managing director at Superbac Biotechnology Solutions. Alisha Bellezza has been named director of investor relations. She had been director, investor analysis and support, for the company.

Marlin Business Services Corp., Mount Laurel, hired Bryce S. Ray as chief lending officer of Marlin Business Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary. He had been vice president of credit at Optum Bank.

Judy McHugh has joined Philadelphia leadership development and executive coaching firm The Leader's Edge/Leaders by Design as senior vice president and member of the firm's executive committee. She had been executive director of the Aresty Institute for Executive Education at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Glenmede, a privately held wealth-management firm in Philadelphia, hired David K. Plotts as director of financial planning. He had been senior vice president and market director of wealth strategy at Hawthorn PNC Family Wealth.

Eric J. Olson has been appointed vice president for finance and treasurer at Cabrini College, Radnor. He had been vice president for finance and associate treasurer at Drexel University.

The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine appointed Carol Pooser assistant dean of advancement, alumni relations, and communications. She had been director of funding initiatives at Columbia University's Earth Institute.

Weisman Children's Rehabilitation Hospital, Vineland, named Shawna G. Kates administrator of Vineland Weisman Medical Day Care. She had been assistant vice president, patient care services, case management, and family services for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Judge Group, a Philadelphia provider of global professional services, has promoted Jared Rakes to executive vice president, responsible for Judge's technology consulting and solutions group, and for its human-capital management division. He joined the company as a managing director for the company's management consulting practice.

TD Bank promoted James J. McCafferty Jr. to store manager, assistant vice president, of its branch in Newtown, Bucks County. He had been a mortgage loan officer.

Surrey Services for Seniors, a nonprofit group that assists older adults in continuing to live with independence and dignity in their homes, named Robert W. Haver to its board. He is a retired principal with Towers Perrin.

 

Reed Smith L.L.P., Philadelphia, added Randall I. Cherkas to its Tax, Benefits & Wealth Planning Group in Philadelphia as an associate. Randall was previously an associate from 2008 to 2011 and rejoins the firm from Pepper Hamilton L.L.P.

 

National Constitution Center, Philadelphia, hired Sophia Peezick as marketing coordinator. She had been a marketing coordinator and gallery associate at Bridgette Mayer Gallery in Philadelphia.

 

University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine has hired Louisa Shepard as communications specialist for the New Bolton Center, Penn Vet's large-animal facility in Kennett Square. Shepard previously served as director of communications for ACLAMO Family Centers.

 

Applied Medical Software, Collingswood, hired Anthony C. Stanowski as vice president. Stanowski formerly was vice president of health-care industry relations at Aramark, Philadelphia.

 

Endo Health Solutions Inc., a Malvern specialty health-care company, hired Suketu Upadhyay as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Upadhyay had served as principal accounting officer and interim chief financial officer of Becton, Dickinson & Co.

 

Community Behavioral HealthCare Network of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, has named Cheryll Bowers-Stephens chief medical officer. Bowers-Stephens is a physician-executive specializing in behavioral-health systems management and public policy. She had been principal consultant with the Schopenhauer Group and a child psychiatrist at the Ochsner Medical Foundation.

 

Kathryn R. Doyle has joined Saul Ewing L.L.P., Philadelphia, as a partner in its life sciences, patent, and intellectual-property practices. A patent attorney with a doctorate in virology and cell and molecular biology, Doyle represents universities and companies throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
