A NEW CHAPTER was added yesterday to the growing legal battle among co-owners of the Daily News, the Inquirer and Philly.com.
George Norcross, co-managing director of Interstate General Media, the newspapers' parent company, filed a countersuit in Delaware Chancery Court against co-managing director Lewis Katz.
Katz and IGM chairman H.F. "Gerry" Lenfest had filed a lawsuit in Philly's Common Pleas Court on Oct. 10, seeking to overturn the recent firing of Inquirer editor Bill Marimow. That lawsuit also seeks removal of Robert J. Hall, the Daily News and Inquirer publisher, who fired Marimow.
