Christina Black's pregame introduction did not go to plan.
While Black, a senior, was finding a place in line with her teammates, she missed her name being announced. Another player let her know, but she turned the wrong way before finally finding her way to the field.
That turned out to be the toughest part of the Mount St. Joseph goalkeeper's Monday afternoon.
Black made four saves and Mount St. Joseph won at Wissahickon, 3-1, in the first round of the District 1 Class AAA field hockey playoffs.
"We knew we had to score early and we worked on shutting them down," Black said. "Our forwards really stepped up to the plate and we played our defensive game."
