After missing three games with an unspecified lower-body injury, Vinny Lecavalier returned to the Flyers' struggling lineup Thursday night against the visiting New York Rangers and was shifted to right wing.
Lecavalier had been centering the second line, and he was moved to the first unit to try to ignite the goalless Claude Giroux.
"I think they can get each other going," Flyers coach Craig Berube said before the game.
"Center is my natural position - I've always been there - but I feel very comfortable on the right side," said Lecavalier, who began the night seven assists shy of 500 for his career. "I want to help as much as I can."
