S. Jersey Girls: Patrizi's OT goal lifts Cherry Hill East

For the second time in a week, Taylor Patrizi scored a winning goal in overtime for the Cherry Hill East field hockey team.

The senior scored two late goals Monday to help erase an early two-goal deficit at home and defeat Lenape, 3-2, in an Olympic Conference matchup. Patrizi also scored in overtime on Friday for the Cougars.

Lenape held a 2-0 lead at the half thanks to goals by Alexa Colfer and Taylor Nesnay. Zoey Abrams cut the lead in half before Patrizi tied it with 5 minutes, 31 seconds left in regulation. Three minutes into the extra period, Patrizi scored the winner off of a corner.

Colonial. In a battle of two teams near the top of the conference standings, West Deptford won at home, 3-1, over Collingswood. Ciara Girouard scored a goal and assisted on another to help the Eagles improve to 15-3. Collingswood outshot West Deptford, 10-4.

Woodbury goalkeeper Summer Skilvas made ten saves in a 5-0 shutout at Paulsboro. Dara Harvey scored twice, and Fatimah Daley added a goal and an assist.

Cape-Atlantic National. St. Joseph shut out Middle Township, 4-0, at home. Emily DeMarco scored four times and increased her season total to 37 goals. With three saves, Mikaela Power recorded her tenth shutout of the season.

Nonleague. Six players scored for Pitman in a 7-1 win at home over Penns Grove. Megan Gipe and Beth Patrick each tallied a goal and an assist. It was the second time this month that Pitman defeated Penns Grove by a score of 7-1.

Girls' Soccer

Burlington Township went on the road to upset Burlington County League foe New Egypt, 2-0, behind two second-half goals by senior Carin Essex-Arline.

Dionia Henderson stopped every shot she faced for the Falcons. The Warriors fell to 11-3-3.

Tri-County. Clayton needed every one of Allison Bicking's ten saves to hold off Wildwood, 1-0, at home. Kelsie Platt scored the winner in the second half on an assist by Kasey Green.

Pennsville eased past visiting Salem, 4-0, and improved its record to 14-1-2. Lexi Slusher had two goals and an assist. Colleen Parris made 30 saves.

Olympic. An unassisted goal in the 36th minute by Emma McLaughlin was all Cherokee needed in a 2-0 win over Washington Township. Courtney Simpson shut out the Minutemaids with 14 saves, and Ally Weaver added an insurance goal in the 55th minute.

Shannon Farrell scored a goal and assisted on Staci Bell's goal to lift Timber Creek to a 2-0 win at Bishop Eustace.
