THE FLYERS LOGO is ready for its close-up.

Last week, a rep from the Wells Fargo Center sent out email saying the famed Flyers logo has received $475,320 in free publicity from "The Goldbergs," the '80s-set ABC comedy airing Tuesdays at 9 p.m., starring "Bridesmaids'" Wendi McLendon-Covey, "Curb Your Enthusiasm's" Jeff Garlin and George Segal.

"I'm using my show to push my Philadelphia Flyers agenda. I'm a longtime fan. My dad had season tickets. Some of my best memories were going to games with him, eating the french fries and wearing my Tim Kerr jersey. Mind you, I'm shockingly unathletic - but this one sport was something in common I had with my dad who didn't understand my love of theater and movies," "The Goldbergs" creator Adam F. Goldberg, a William Penn Charter High School grad, told me via email.

He added: "I'm such a fan that I would tape the games as a kid and edit together my own highlight reels on two VCRs. I still have them to this day. And I grew my hair like my favorite player, Mike Ricci, in eighth grade. A mullet, if you will."

That's dedication. Of course, I'm talking about the mullet.

Goldberg was quite shocked at the high price tag afforded to the exposure. "I hope they can at least send me some free tickets!"

Despite no longer calling Jenkintown home, Goldberg still keeps up with the Flyers.

"I know coach Craig Berube will beat them into shape," he said. "I grew up with him beating up everyone else on the ice!"

NBC10 staffers sing out

If you stopped by Chinatown karaoke spot Yakitori Boy (211 N. 11th St.) on Friday night, you might have caught pop stars like Janet Jackson, Bruno Mars and Rihanna. Well, kinda. I hear the staffers at NBC10 celebrated Halloween with a costume-themed karaoke jam. A spy told me they spotted Brittney Shipp, who came as Janet Jackson, Nefertiti Jaquez went a little throwback as Aaliyah, Denise Nakano spaced out as Bjork, Christine Maddela came from the block as Jennifer Lopez, while Jacqueline London rocked Rihanna's style.

Iverson takes Philly

After Allen Iverson officially retired from his basketball playing days, he caught the Sixers' win over the Miami Heat. Iverson, along with Eagle DeSean Jackson and boxer Simon "One Punch" Carr, also hit up the TLA to see the Roc Reloaded show, featuring Freeway, Young Gunz among others. Rapper Meek Mill joined the crew to end the night at Aura (628 N. Front St.).
