Ashley Shisler sneaked a shot beneath the right crossbar five minutes into the second half, and the Deptford defense did the rest in a 1-0 upset victory at No. 7 Cedar Creek in the first round of the South Jersey Group 2 girls' soccer playoffs Monday.

Rachel Minix backed the 10th-seeded Spartans' defense with 13 saves.

Mainland moved Amanda Tobias up from defense and the senior did not disappoint, knocking in the first three goals of her career in a 4-2 home victory for the No. 7 Mustangs over No. 10 Triton.

No. 5 Northern Burlington 1, No. 12 Ewing 0: Ty Horne knocked in the winner off an assist from Joan Logan.

No. 3 Moorestown 3, No. 14 Westampton Tech 0: Katie Varela scored twice to lead the host Quakers.

Millville defeated Vineland, 3-2, in penalty kicks after two overtimes left the local rivals tied at two in Millville.

Brooke Muhlbaier scored the Thunderbolts' third PK, which proved to be the winner when Vineland's next shot hit the crossbar.

No. 2 Eastern 2, No. 15 Absegami 0: The Vikings scored twice in the final five minutes to avoid being upset on their home turf.

Miranda Konstantinides opened the scoring off an assist from Sydney Jackson with five minutes left. Two minutes later, Jackson added a goal of her own.

No. 12 Washington Township 3. No. 5 Egg Harbor Township 1: Cathryn McCarry scored twice to propel the Minutemaids on the road.

No. 6 Kingsway 3, No. 11 Rancocas Valley 1: Lindsey Thomas kicked in a pair of goals and Tatiana Helwig added two assists for host Kingsway.

No. 1 Lenape 5, No. 16 Brick Memorial Township 0: Alicia Hampton made two saves in a shutout for the host Indians, who saw five players find the back of the net.

No. 8 Shawnee 1, No. 9 Clearview 0: Lexie Palladino set up Kayla Bertolino for the only goal at Shawnee.

First-year players knocked in every one of No. 8 Woodbury's goals in a 6-2 home win over ninth-seeded Burlington City.

Freshman Rebecca Rosett scored four times and also set up classmate Abigail Ward's opening goal.

No. 6 Gateway 3, No. 11 Palmyra 1: Casey Pietroforte scored from 18 yards out early in the second half to break a 1-1 tie in Woodbury Heights.

No. 4 Glassboro 4, No. 10 Clayton 0: Lyndsay Vito scored twice in the first half for the host Bulldogs.

No. 2 Riverside 4, No. 15 Salem 0: Kasie Shivley racked up two goals and three assists for the Rams at home.

No. 5 Pitman 2, Penns Grove 0: Rebecca Williams scored both goals for the hosts.

Nia Francis notched a hat trick as No. 12 Moorestown Friends hit the road and upset fifth-seeded Timothy Christian, 4-1.

Erica Bruno scored twice and Ashley Swiderski chipped in a goal and two assists as No. 5 Florence eliminated No. 12 Bound Brook.
