With hazing in the news because of the allegations about misconduct on the Miami Dolphins, Eagles coach Chip Kelly described a stance that would suggest a hard line against such behavior.

The Eagles don't even have a rookie show, when rookies perform a skit for their teammates. Kelly said the most they do is on a scale of young offensive linemen stocking water bottles in the line's meeting room.

Linebacker Mychal Kendricks said he had to pay for some team dinners last season.

"I think with all our guys, they're all members of the same team, and I think everybody should be treated the same way," Kelly said. ". . . So that's how we approached it here."

Kelly addressed the topic when the rookies arrived in the spring. He told the team that every player is the same, whether he's a rookie or a 10-year veteran.

"Part of our job, I think, is to make sure that the young guys get acclimated," Kelly said. "Even though they are professionals, there is still a learning curve. Just like being a freshman in college again or freshman in high school again. They can all go back to think about what it was like when they were younger. It's a difficult transition for anybody."

Injury update

Linebacker Jake Knott was the only player who did not practice. Cornerback Bradley Fletcher (pectoral) and quarterback Michael Vick (hamstring) were limited.

For the Packers, star linebacker Clay Matthews was a limited participant and told the Wisconsin media that he thinks he can play against the Eagles. Matthews would need to wear padding to protect his injured right thumb, which kept him out of four games.
