The 76ers are unsure when Thaddeus Young will return to the team.

The organization will only say he's not with the team due to personal reasons related to his family. Multiple sources have said the power forward is dealing with the death of a family member.

"He's not available, and we're going to allow him his space and let him handle the situation as he feels it best suits him and his family," Sixers coach Brett Brown said before Friday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Wells Fargo Center. "When he decides it's appropriate [to return to the team], here we are."

Friday marked the second consecutive game the 6-foot-8, 230-pounder missed.

The eight-year veteran averaged 14.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.5 steals during the first 13 games. He scored a season-high 29 points on two occasions.

Sixers donations

76ers players Michael Carter-Williams, Brandon Davies, Tony Wroten, Arnett Moultrie, assistant coach Lloyd Pierce, and Sixers CEO Scott O'Neil will deliver Thanksgiving turkeys and side dishes to 76 families at Lowell Elementary School at 3:15 p.m. Monday. Hair Pure Protein Corp. is donating the turkeys.

The families were selected through the Philabundance's "Kid Bites" program. It works with area schools to provide food for children and their families.

"We are grateful to Hain for their generous donation and Philabundance for helping facilitate the delivery of these meals to kids and families in need," O'Neil said in a statement. "The holidays should be a special time for children. We believe this "Sixers Strong" event can help them spend meaningful time with their families as they celebrate with a Thanksgiving dinner."
