Mike Class' Thursday was just like any of his other game days.

It was his last game at Pennridge and he couldn't shake the frustration of not having a college offer, but the Rams' all-time leading rusher went through his normal pregame routine on the bus ride to the field and then in the locker room.

He calmed down, relaxed, closed his eyes, and envisioned what he would do on the field.

Class did what he did for much of his Pennridge career. He led the Rams to a 27-7 Suburban One Continental win against visiting Quakertown with 246 total yards and three touchdowns.

"For him to finish with over 200 yards is just who he is," Pennridge coach Jeff Hollenbach said. "His ability is really, really amazing. Needless to say, we will miss him."

While Class approached Thursday's game like any other, he especially wanted to make an impact on his last game at Pennridge.

"I just wanted to play every down like it's my last down," said Class, who ran for 218 yards on 23 carries. "It was definitely in the back of my mind. I couldn't take a play off because I'm never getting this opportunity back."

"This is definitely how I wanted to go out, breaking tackles and going for long runs. It definitely means a lot to me."

Class, a 5-foot-11, 185-pounder who finished his career with 5,699 yards rushing, has received interest from Delaware, Villanova, and West Chester, but has not yet received an offer.

"It's a little hard to believe," Hollenbach said. "He's in the company with some great running backs at Pennridge, and he's at the top. . . . Some college is going to get a real deal with him."

"It's a little bit frustrating," Class said. "It's always in the back of my mind, but the most important thing is focusing on week after week."

With the win, Pennridge (8-4, 4-3) improved to 53-26-5 all-time against Quakertown (7-5, 3-4) on Thanksgiving.

"This is probably one of the most important victories of my year," Class said. "Just knowing it's my last game and that we went out on top."
