A truce in Kasem conflict

The feud between American Top 40 DJ Casey Kasem's wife and children seems to have ended in a negotiated settlement.

Kasem's children - Kerri, 41, Mike, 40, and Julie, 38 - complained their stepmother, Jean, was preventing them from seeing their father, who has advanced Parkinson's disease and is in a hospital. In court in October, Jean said it wouldn't be good for Casey to see his kids. But a court-hired doctor testified that Casey wanted to see them. Julie was trying to get legal control of her dad's health care.

In a hearing Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Julie's attorneys said she was withdrawing that request as part of a confidential visitation agreement.

Casey had the three children with his first wife, Linda Myers, whom he divorced in 1979; he married Jean in 1980. The kids had been picketing Casey's mansion over the summer.

Two pretty people split

Kate Upton (of Sports Illustrated cover fame) and Maksim Chmerkovskiy ( Dancing With the Stars pro guy) have ended their liaison, according to People mag. Indeed, the two hot-bodies seem to have gone cool on each other weeks ago. Just nobody knew.
