John T. Chew Jr., 67, of St. Davids, a professional photographer for more than 40 years, died of cancer Tuesday, Dec. 24, at home.
Mr. Chew's photos appeared in editorial features and advertisements in publications such as House & Garden, the New York Times Magazine, and the Magazine Antiques. He also had assignments for the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Baltimore Museum of Art.
A specialist in art and antiques photography, Mr. Chew was a director of the Alliance for Community Media, a founding director of the Radnor Township public-access television station, and a member of the American Society of Media Photographers. He also was a longtime trustee of Cliveden, the historic Philadelphia home of Benjamin Chew.
