WHITPAIN The FBI and Whitpain Township police are investigating a bank robbery that falls into the "you can't make this stuff up" category.

According to officials, the armed bandit used a "reusable green and orange shopping bag with a 'peace' symbol on it" when he robbed the First Priority Bank branch at 10 Sentry Parkway, Blue Bell, Thursday morning.

The thief entered the bank, displayed a semiautomatic handgun, and demanded money before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He was wearing large black sunglasses, a shiny black mask, a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and blue sneakers with red or orange piping. Investigators said the man, who is about 5-feet-6, may be right-handed.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-641-8910 or the Whitpain Township Police Department at 610-279-9033. Callers may remain anonymous.
