Joshua Velez-Arce entered Saturday morning five wins shy of 100 for his career, and the Bishop McDevitt senior put forth an unblemished effort at Academy of the New Church's Lion Duals to become the first Lancers wrestler to reach the milestone.

The 120-pounder recorded his 100th win with a 34-second pin of Penn Charter's James Frye to highlight a 57-18 win. Velez-Arce won the Catholic League and District 12 titles last season at 106 pounds and has a career record of 100-29.

Also at the Lion Duals:

Northeast finished 5-0 to capture first place. Bill Berger (195 pounds) and Jamal Powell (160) went 5-0 in their weight classes.

Ben Gause (170 pounds) and Ryan Merritt (182) pieced together back-to-back pins to lead Upper Dublin over host ANC, 48-27.

Anthony Shockey's 53-second win at 126 pounds - in the match's final bout - clinched Cheltenham's 35-33 triumph over ANC. Connor Barton added a fall at 182, and Oliver Liburd won by pin at 160.

Rage in the Cage. Nick Puliti needed 36 seconds to record a fall at 106 pounds, and host Garnet Valley rolled over Episcopal Academy, 72-3.

The Jaguars won all three of their matches. Puliti pinned in 39 seconds to cap a 56-9 win over Central Bucks South and earned a 7-2 decision to start a 51-5 victory over West Chester Rustin.

Makasu Duals. Mitch Camp scored a major decision at 120 pounds, and host Unionville avoided pins in the last two weight classes to edge Father Judge, 34-33, in the first-place match.

Joey DiMarco picked up a fall at 145 pounds, and Pete Summers won by pin at 195.

In the semifinals, Father Judge rallied to win the last four bouts and turn away Wallenpaupack, 43-24. Jim Galasso won by decision at heavyweight, Mike Metzger pinned at 106 pounds, Tim McCall earned a decision at 113, and Trevor Elfvin posted a decision at 120.

Church Farm Invitational. Chichester dominated the lighter weights to secure the team title. Craig Baldwin (106 pounds), Chris Smarkola (113), Tommy Smarkola (120), and Manny Mitchell (132) won their weight classes.

Catholic. La Salle closed out its senior day by capturing seven of the last eight bouts to roll over visiting St. Joseph's Prep, 53-15. Anthony Piscopo started the rally with a 12-3 major decision at 195 pounds, and Andrew McLaren completed it with a 5-2 decision at 132.

Greg Konieczny (138 pounds), Anthony Dadario (170), Santino Pelusi (220), Antonio Pelusi (285), and Matthew McLaren (113) added pins for the Explorers.

Pioneer. Ryan Hayes earned a 65-second pin at 113 pounds, and Spring-Ford defeated visiting Phoenixville, 52-24.
