Community College hosts 22d annual event for kids.

Bestselling authors and illustrators converge on Community College of Philadelphia on Saturday for the 22d African American Children's Book Fair.

Participating in the free fair will be about 20 authors and illustrators including Jerry Craft, award-winning syndicated comic-strip cartoonist of Mama's Boyz; My Best Friend illustrator E.B Lewis; Floyd Cooper, illustrator of These Hands; Tonya Bolden, author of Finding Family; Crystal Allen, author of How Lamar's Bad Prank Won a Bubba-Sized Trophy, and more. Author Paula Young Shelton, daughter of former U.N. ambassador Andrew Young, will also participate.

More highlights include the NBC Reading Circle, which will give away new books to children (while supplies last), the Peco Literary Salon, and more. Festivities also include games, prizes, and giveaways.

Chinese New Year Parade in Media on Saturday

Celebrate the Chinese New Year: Year of the Horse on Saturday with a parade in Media.

The parade on State Street begins at 11:30 a.m. and will feature lion dancers from the Hung Gar Kung Fu Academy in Philadelphia.

Mark Zacharia at Grasso's Magic Theatre

On Sunday, enjoy Making 60 Minutes Seem Like an Hour, a humorous one-man magic show by Mark Zacharia at Grasso's Magic Theatre.

Zacharia's resumé includes Off-Broadway and performing for the New York State Legislature. He is regularly invited to the Fechter's Finger Flicking Frolic convention, which features 200 acclaimed magicians.
