Another honor for Sixers' MCW

Posted: February 07, 2014

The rewards for 76ers rookie Michael Carter-Williams keep rolling in. Last night, the NBA announced MCW would be one of eight players in the Taco Bell Skills Challenge during All-Star weekend in New Orleans.

On Wednesday, the 6-6 guard was named the Eastern Conference rookie of the month for January, the second time he has received that award.

Last week, he was picked to play for the rookie team in the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge on Feb. 14. Skills Challenge is the next day and the All-Star Game Feb. 16.

Carter-Williams leads all rookies in scoring (17.2), rebounding (5.4), assists (6.6) and steals (2.24). The last Sixer to compete in the Skills Challenge was Jrue Holiday last season, where he finished runner-up to Portland's Damian Lillard.
