S. Jersey Girls: Sat. S.J. girls: Holden hits the top

Lauren Holden became Lower Cape May's all-time leading scorer Saturday in a 55-48 win against Clearview at Eastern in the South Jersey Invitational girls' basketball tournament.

Holden, a junior who is a Fordham recruit, needed three points entering the game, and she topped it in the first quarter. She scored seven in the period on the way to her game-high 26.

In other South Jersey Invitational play:

Nicole Piergross scored seven of her 11 points in the first half, helping Ocean City earn a 48-39 win against Willingboro.

Delran's Nicole Bayer had 11 rebounds, three steals, and seven points in a 29-20 win against Collingswood.

Burlington County Freedom. Damaje Anderson drained 14 of her 18 free throws en route to a game-high 18 points, and she led Riverside to a 45-42 home win against New Egypt.

Tri-County. Zoe Hahn paced Kingsway with 21 points in a 64-30 win at Pitman.

Nonleague. Tyler Raysor got her 1,000th point out of the way in the first quarter, and the Haddon Heights senior had 13 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists, and a pair of blocks and steals in a 62-30 home win over Glassboro.

Cheyenne Clark deposited 24 of her career-high 32 points in the second half to help Deptford storm back and beat visiting West Deptford, 64-56. Clark also had 28 rebounds and nine steals. Deptford outscored West Deptford, 44-34, after halftime.

Gina Ayusa scored 17 points and made two free throws with 25 seconds left that opened a five-point lead in a 44-39 victory at Triton.

Pennsauken erased an eight-point deficit in the second half to beat visiting Haddonfield, 41-37, behind Aleyah Dupree's seven points and 15 rebounds.

Tristan McGinley had 13 points and eight rebounds and Miranda Chrone scored 12 points and grabbed seven boards to help Moorestown beat visiting Trenton Catholic, 42-35.

Camille Aguilar knocked down four three-pointers and finished with 17 points to lead Moorestown Friends to a 39-32 win at Lindenwold.

Alexis Sears finished with 26 points and led Lenape to a 73-48 win at Cherry Hill East.

Indoor Track

Washington Township's Lindsey Kane won both the 800- and 1,600-meter runs at the South Jersey Group 4 championships in Toms River. Kane finished the 800 in 2 minutes, 19.99 seconds and the 1,600 in 5:00.92.

Torie Robinson, representing Winslow Township, won the 55 dash (7.14) and the 55 hurdles (8.21) in South Jersey Group 3.
