PA. INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS SEMIFINAL

Germantown Academy 43, Episcopal Academy 31: The fourth-seeded Patriots used clutch free-throw shooting to clinch the win over the top-seeded host. GA went 9 for 11 from the line in the fourth quarter.

DISTRICT 1 CLASS AAAA QUARTERFINAL

Spring-Ford 53, Central Bucks West 52: The host, fourth-seeded Rams edged the fifth-seeded Bucks behind 20 points from Sammy Stipa.

DISTRICT 1 CLASS AAA QUARTERFINALS

Radnor 58, Lower Moreland 49: Myonie Williamson of eighth-seeded Radnor poured in 25 points to lead the visitors to the overtime upset of the top seed.

Pope John Paul II 39, Gwynedd Mercy 35: Gabby Troisi netted 14 points to move the host, second-seeded Golden Panthers past the seventh-seeded Monarchs.

Merion Mercy 46, Chichester 40: Caroline Corzel scored 26 points as the visiting, No. 5 Golden Bears topped the fourth-seeded Eagles.

Villa Maria 54, Marple Newtown 35: Danielle Knopp had 10 points to pace the host, No. 3 Hurricanes over No. 6 Marple.

SWIMMING

Episcopal Academy won the 200-yard medley, powered by Emma Seiberlich, McKenzie Street, Emily Rhodes, and Sarah Baturka, in 1 minute, 43.97 seconds at the Eastern Interscholastic Championships at La Salle University. Rhodes and Baturka added individual titles.
