Mega-selfie crashes Twitter!!

They're calling it Mega-selfie!!

Ellen DeGeneres, host of Sunday's Oscar knees-up, took a selfie with a constellation of stars, posted it to Twitter, and told the world to retweet it till it broke the record. Success! In 34 minutes, yo. Smashed the old mark, set by President Obama's election night 2012 selfie (a measly 780K retweets). So thick did the retweets tweet that for many users, Twitter seized up. Fail screen! After an hour, Mega-selfie had 1.3 million RTs; it broke 2 mils by midnight, and by Monday afternoon was nearing 2.9 mil RTs and 1.5 mil "favorites." All records for a single selfie post by an individual.

Hey, what other selfie could boast such selves, including eight Oscar winners!?!? Joining DeGen were Kevin Spacey, Meryl Streep, Angelina Jolie, Julia Roberts, picturetaker Bradley Cooper, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Lawrence, the Christlike Jared Leto, Hampshire College alumna Lupita Nyong'o and brother Peter, and Channing Tatum.

Joy and its killer

Lots of fun, those Oscars. J-Law continuing her yearly tradition of tripping  . Pharrell's silly hat passed around for pizza money. Flubbed lines. (Best was Jamie Foxx's, with a funky teleprompter: "A good story will blow." Pause. " . . . your mind.") DeGen pretending, not without reason, to take Liza Minnelli as a female impersonator. The bizarre Kim Novak  . ABC's coverage played to an average of 43 million viewers, most since 2004. But, to remind us that fun and games can be rendered a sour political firestorm, entertainer Ann Coulter (what else to title her?) tweeted, just as the show began: "Today's Hollywood PC order: Gays, Blacks, Hispanics. Tomorrow: Gays, Hispanics, Blacks. Enjoy it while you can, Black America! #Oscars."

Him and 'Her'

Scarlett Johansson, voice of Samantha in Her, is pregnant - and it wasn't us! Not that we were asked. No, she is said to be with kid by her fiancé of 6 months, Romain Dauriac.

Bad news for Brown

On Friday, an L.A. judge told rap's Chris Brown to stay another two months in the Malibu luxury rehab joint where he's been since November. He's still on probation on his 2009 felony conviction for assaulting then-gf Rihanna. Doctors at the rehab joint say he has bipolar disorder, PTSD, and severe sleep deprivation. Chris has a trial in D.C. on yet more assault charges, and then back to L.A. court to see whether he has violated parole.

Broad City broads resked
