Barry, who is doing the PR rounds to flog his new book You Can Date Boys When You're Forty, says he's flummoxed, as are we all, that Bieber elicits a sexual response from his fans.
"One thing I don't understand is why he is such a sex symbol. At one point in the concert, he took off his shirt, and the audience, all girls my daughter's age, went insane," the author says. "And he has the same body as the Geico gecko." Sophie's Bieber-mania has subsided, Barry confides. "She decided at some point that he was a jerk," he says. "Now she likes something called One Direction, and there are five of those."
An example to us all
Kim Kardashian just posted a vid showing her sisters Khloé Kardashian and Kylie Jenner going at each other like cage fighters. "I got body makeup all over you," Khloé says when the fight wraps up. "That's what you get."
Why the fight? Who knows?
Leah Remini gets real
Ex-Scientology adept Leah Remini, 43, on Wednesday began shooting a new, yet-to-be-titled reality show for TLC. It's about, um, well . . . her life. And about her family: hub Angelo, daughter Sofia, 9, and assorted siblings, uncles, and so forth.
The show'll be good for her soul (and PR image), the Kings of Queens star says. "I don't want to be known as this bitter ex-Scientologist," she tells BuzzFeed.com.
Gossip petits fours
Domestic diva and ex-con Martha Stewart, 72, and teenybopper Austin Mahone, 17, have done the unthinkable: turn down a chance to star in the next season of Dancing With the Stars, says Us Weekly. . . . TMZ says someone has broken into the house once occupied by Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom and made off with $250,000 in jewelry and watches. Just last month, $50,000 in cash was stolen from Kourtney Kardashian's Calabasas pad, adds TMZ.
ScHoolboy Q's a winner
Oxymoron, the third studio CD from South Central Los Angeles hip-hopster ScHoolboy Q, debuted atop Billboard's album charts this week, moving 139,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Last week's chart-topper, the Frozen soundtrack (with the Oscar-winning "Let It Go"), drops to second place with 91,000, while beloved alt-rocker Beck's Morning Phase is at No. 3 with 87,000.
