S. Jersey Boys: Sat. S.J. boys: Pemberton advances

J.B. LeBrun scored 17 points to lead Pemberton to a 60-57 triumph Saturday over visiting Medford Tech in a South Jersey Group 2 boys' basketball semifinal.

Shaun Brooks added 14 points for second-seeded Pemberton, and I'Javion Ivory scored 11.

Sidney Harris led Medford Tech, the third seed, with 17 points, and Dennis Tunstall chipped in 10.

Pemberton will host fourth-seeded Camden, which ousted top seed Haddonfield, in the final at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

South Jersey Group 4 semifinals

Cherokee 63, Southern Regional 39: Paul Bellamy finished with 18 points, and sixth-seeded Cherokee topped visiting Southern.

Kyle Kahriger contributed 10 points for Cherokee. Jake Powell and Kevin Wixted each added nine points for Cherokee.

Jake Logue led seventh-seeded Southern Regional with 18 points.

Cherokee will travel to Cherry Hill East, the top seed, for the sectional final at 4 p.m. Monday.

Central Jersey Group 2 semifinals

Rumson 71, Willingboro 69: Awwal Reid scored 25 points, but sixth-seeded Willingboro lost to visiting Rumson, the 10th seed.

Thomas Farrior added 19 points for Willingboro, and Jeff Haddock scored 10.

Jack Herrmann led Rumson with 23 points, and Brendan Barry had 21.

S. Jersey Non-Public B semifinals

Patrick School 75, Holy Spirit 49: John Middleton had 16 points and five rebounds, but third-seeded Holy Spirit lost at Patrick School, the second seed. Junior Saintel added 15 points for Holy Spirit, and UUhmad Collier made three threes for nine points.
