Posted: March 12, 2014

The Flyers will unveil an eight-foot tall, 1,300-pound bronze statue of the late Fred Shero on Saturday at Xfinity Live at 11 a.m. The ceremony, which will take place in front of the Spectrum Grill, is free and open to the public. The Flyers host the Penguins Saturday at 1 p.m.

Shero coached the Flyers to Stanley Cups in 1974 and 1975, and he was inducted into hockey's Hall of Fame in November.
