FOX 29 anchor Sheinelle Jones announced at the end of "Good Day Philadelphia" yesterday that she's leaving the station where she's worked for nine years.

Jones, a 2006 Daily News Sexy Single, will work her final broadcast March 28. No word yet on who'll replace her. The station will hold a tribute week for Jones starting March 24.

Sources at the station tell me that Jones left for the reason she told "Good Day" viewers: She wants to spend more time with her family, including her pre-schooler kids, son Kayin Ojeh and twins Clara Josephine and Uche Ade Christian, familiar names to regular "Good Day" viewers.

"There is a quote that I hold onto, that is so true for me. 'God has bigger dreams for you than you can ever dream for yourself.' And when I look at my life so far, where I am, God has given me the desires of my heart and topped it by a billion," Jones told her viewers. "I thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your mornings."

During her tenure, Jones was known for her easy on-air rapport with co-host Mike Jerrick. The duo became viral hits after a particularly bad interview with Olympian-turned-failed-reality-star Ryan Lochte.

Unlike many morning-show teams, Jerrick and Jones actually seemed to like each other. While chatting with Jerrick at an event, our conversation was interrupted by a series of text messages. He started to laugh when he saw the sender and turned his phone toward me. Jones, on vacation at the time, was texting him pictures of her smiling kids.
