Mick Jagger on Scott

Mick Jagger said Tuesday that he had yet to absorb the shocking news that his gf of 10 years, L'Wren Scott, died Monday in an apparent suicide.

"I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way," the rock superstar wrote on Facebook.

"We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves."

Scott, a fashion designer who also designed costumes for films such as Ocean's Thirteen and Eyes Wide Shut, began seeing Jagger in 2001.

Jagger, 70, spoke of her talent. "She had great presence, and her talent was much admired, not least by me," he wrote Tuesday. "I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her, and also the personal messages of support that I have received. I will never forget her."

Stones cancel concert tour

The Rolling Stones have called off tour dates in Australia and New Zealand following Scott's death. In a statement Tuesday, members said they "are deeply sorry and disappointed to announce the postponement of the rest of their 14 ON FIRE tour." They thanked fans "for their support at this difficult time."

Keira Knightley's gown

Only Keira Knightley could carry this off: Wearing her lush Chanel wedding gown as a regular ol' party dress. "I'd worn the dress lots" since her May wedding to James Righton, Keira tells the Telegraph. "I just wanted to be in something I had had a great time in, something I would have a great time in again." But the dress' time has come to an end: She got red wine all over it. "It's quite impressively splattered," she says.

Clooney, gal do safari

People.com has posted, much to our pleasure, photos of George Clooney and his latest gal, the lovely, alliterative British lawyer Amal Alamuddin, on safari in Tanzania. The couple aren't brandishing guns.

Gossip petits fours

Miley Cyrus' tour bus caught fire Monday night. No injuries, no fatalities. . . .   Elton John mulls why his historic 1973 LP, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, was such a phenom, selling 31 mil copies worldwide. "This is before I started drugs and drinking," Elton, who turns 67 on Tuesday, tells USA Today. "This was pure Elton." It's pure something, all right. An expanded version of the album will be reissued on Elton's birthday.
