NCAA hockey tourney will head to Phila. for Frozen Four

Minnesota was named the top overall seed Sunday in the 16-team NCAA Division I men's hockey tournament. The other No. 1 regional seeds included Boston College, Union (N.Y.), and Wisconsin.

The tournament begins Friday. The regional champions will advance to the Frozen Four on April 10 and 12 at the Wells Fargo Center. Tickets are available online at ComcastTIX.com, by phone at 800-298-4200, or at the Wells Fargo Center box office.

Women's champions. Shannon MacAulay scored on a breakaway with 4 minutes, 16 seconds left in the third period Sunday as Clarkson beat two-time defending champion Minnesota, 5-4, for the NCAA women's hockey championship in Hamden, Conn.
