Philadelphia and its surrounding counties are under a flood watch into Sunday evening, as heavy rains continue to fall from a wet and wintry mix across the Northeast.
"It looks the heaviest rain is going to fall more west of Philadelphia," said Anthony Gigi, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service. "In terms of the Schuykill River, it's been flowing at a pretty steady rate."
Heavy rain Sunday has been concentrated around the Susquehanna River Basin in central Pennsylvania.
Gigi said the heaviest rain so far has fallen in New Jersey, with some rain backing into Pennsylvania. In Cherry Hill, a stretch of Haddonfield-Berlin Road near Morris Drive is down to one lane because of flooding. The road crosses a stream that feeds into the nearby Woodcrest Country Club golf course, which is closed because of two inches of overnight rain, according to club officials.
