Only five seconds remained for the Soul Sunday at the Wells Fargo Center.

After the home team fell behind by one point with 41 seconds left, quarterback Dan Raudabaugh hit Anthony "Tiger" Jones on a 6-yard pitch-and-catch to secure a 60-55 Arena Football League victory over the Iowa Barnstormers.

"That's how arena football goes," Raudabaugh said. "We want the ball last. We got out of bounds when we needed to and made catches. It was a tight one; we've got to get better but it's good to get that first division win."

The Soul (3-3) won their third game in a row.

After an interception derailed their first drive, the Soul attacked a stout Iowa defense that set a franchise record last week for points allowed (12) against the Los Angeles KISS.

Raudabaugh completed 26 of 35 passes for 283 yards and nine touchdowns. His favorite targets were Jones and V'Keon Lacey. He came into the game with only one touchdown this season, but Lacey hauled in three TDs. Jones led all wideouts with five scores on seven receptions.

Raudabaugh utilized quick passes to open up the field against a secondary that forced five interceptions last week.

"He threw some great balls tonight," coach Clint Dolezel said.

With one minute remaining, the Soul held a 54-52 advantage. Iowa took the lead on a 19-yard field goal by Ross Gornall, which gave the home team one final drive.

The Soul are in a three-way tie for second place with Iowa and Pittsburgh in the East Division. Raudabaugh & Co. will visit Pittsburgh on Saturday.
