Francis H. Graham, 74, of Glassboro, a 35-year veteran of the Philadelphia police force, died of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis on Monday, May 19, at his home.
Mr. Graham was a 1957 graduate of John Bartram High School in Southwest Philadelphia and joined the Police Department when he was 21, his wife, Margaret, said.
"He started in the First District, at 24th and Wolf," and worked as a police officer for 20 years, his wife said.
"Then he became a detective," working at times out of Police Headquarters.
After retiring, she said, Mr. Graham drove a courtesy car for Pacifico Ford at its lot near Philadelphia International Airport.
