Francis H. Graham, 74, of Glassboro, a 35-year veteran of the Philadelphia police force, died of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis on Monday, May 19, at his home.

Mr. Graham was a 1957 graduate of John Bartram High School in Southwest Philadelphia and joined the Police Department when he was 21, his wife, Margaret, said.

"He started in the First District, at 24th and Wolf," and worked as a police officer for 20 years, his wife said.

"Then he became a detective," working at times out of Police Headquarters.

After retiring, she said, Mr. Graham drove a courtesy car for Pacifico Ford at its lot near Philadelphia International Airport.

A member of the Knights of Columbus, he was an usher at 10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass at the Church of St. Bridget in Glassboro.

Besides his wife, Mr. Graham is survived by son Robert, daughter Colleen Healy, a brother, and five grandchildren.

A viewing was set from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday, May 22, at St. Denis Church, 2401 St. Denis Lane, Havertown, before an 11 a.m. Funeral Mass there, with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon.
